

The Alexander Lesson
The technique can be applied to everyday activities.
The aim of the Alexander technique is to help you "unlearn" bad habits and achieve a balanced, more naturally aligned body. Alison will observe your movements and show you how to move, sit, lie down and stand with better balance and less strain.
Alison gently uses her hands combined with verbal instruction to help you recognise and release inappropriate tension and encourage the correct head/neck/back relationship. This relationship is particularly important to improve balance, coordination and reduce muscular tension. By using her hands, Alison is able to assess the way you move, helping to prevent excess tension and encourage you to use your body in a new and different way.
